The admin dashboard tracks each student's section reads, activity submissions, discussion posts, and quiz scores in real time so you know exactly where your cohort is at any moment without having to chase status.

An admin can bulk-import the fall intake by CSV (say, your DPT 3s), then later in the spring drop in another CSV for the DPT 1s and 2s on the same license at no extra charge. One program, one license, regardless of when students join during the year.

Does the platform integrate with Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, or whichever LMS we use?

Accepted Answer

Canvas LTI 1.3 with grade passback is planned for Enterprise. Enterprise is not sold today and has no committed date, so treat LTI as a roadmap item, not something you can plan a semester around. Blackboard and D2L LTI are on the roadmap with no date either. Today you run TheHomeHealthPro alongside any LMS and export grades to a CSV from the admin dashboard.

Do you support Single Sign-On (Google Workspace, SAML, or our institutional identity provider)?

Accepted Answer

Not today. Every account signs in with email and password. SSO is planned for Enterprise, a tier that is not sold yet and has no committed date. The plan covers SAML 2.0, Okta, Microsoft Entra, and Google Workspace through WorkOS, so students would sign in with their university credentials and the account would be provisioned on first sign-in. When it ships it will cut password-reset traffic to your help desk and give your security team an audit trail.

Can we white-label the platform with our university's logo, brand color, and certificate branding?

Yes, on Enterprise (not available yet). We apply your university's logo and accent color to the student login screen, the admin dashboard header, and the completion certificate. The certificate is the artifact students share on LinkedIn and in job applications, so carrying your university's seal makes it defensible during accreditation review.

How much faculty time does it actually take to run the platform week to week, once we are set up?

15 to 30 minutes per week per cohort on average. The platform handles delivery, quizzing, progress tracking, and certificate generation. Your faculty time goes to checking the admin dashboard for at-risk students, nudging the cohort if engagement drops, spot-checking a discussion thread or two, and reaching out to students who fall behind. Programs that integrate the platform into a tightly-graded course spend more; programs that run it as a flipped-classroom anchor spend less.

How does grading work? Do our faculty have to grade activities and discussions by hand?

Quizzes auto-grade against the 80% pass threshold and students can retake unlimited until they pass. Activities and discussions are not numerically graded by the platform. Each submission is recorded and timestamped, and faculty see completion counts for every student and module on the dashboard and in the gradebook export. Documentation practice is reviewed by the AI grader, which gives the student written feedback in minutes. If your course requires letter grades, apply a rubric of your own (most programs use completion-based grading). The gradebook CSV export gives you per-module quiz scores and submission counts ready to import into Canvas, Blackboard, or D2L. Enterprise customers with Canvas LTI (not available yet) get grade passback automatically.

What happens if a student transfers into our program mid-semester, or drops out partway through a module?

Mid-semester transfers in: faculty add the student to the cohort and they start at Module 1 (or wherever you assign them). Their progress is tracked from that point forward. Drops or withdraws: you can mark a student as inactive in the admin dashboard, which preserves their record. If they re-enroll later, they pick up exactly where they left off; module progress, quiz scores, and activity submissions persist.

Today: email support monitored by our team directly. Typical response under 24 hours, often same-day. Enterprise (not available yet) adds a dedicated Slack channel between your admin team and ours, plus a 4-business-hour response on issues that take the platform down for students or faculty. Content errors (typo, broken link, factually wrong claim) are corrected within 24 to 48 hours regardless of tier.

Mobile-friendly across curriculum content, quizzes, and discussions. Students can read modules, take quizzes, and post discussions from a phone. The clinical tools (income calculator, quarterly tax estimator, HEP builder) work on mobile but are optimized for tablet or laptop. Reading and quizzes on a phone is fine; activities and written reflections are easier on a laptop.

What is the accessibility story? Is the platform WCAG 2.1 AA compliant, and how does it handle accommodations for students with disabilities?

The platform is designed with accessibility in mind. Assessments are untimed, discussions and activities have no time limit, and we build against common screen-reader and keyboard-navigation patterns. If a student has a documented accommodation, your disability services office coordinates with us through your faculty and we work to support it. A formal WCAG 2.1 AA third-party audit is on our roadmap; we are happy to share our current accessibility posture during procurement.

Yes. Each student can export their full data from their personal dashboard: activity responses, discussion posts, quiz attempt history with scores, and saved Home Exercise Programs as PDFs. The export is a single ZIP. This is part of FERPA's data access right, built in by default and not gated behind a tier.

Is the platform FERPA compliant? Where is student data stored, and who has access to it?

Yes, the platform is designed FERPA-aware from the ground up. Student data is stored encrypted at rest in a US-hosted database. Faculty see only their program's students; students see only their own data; no student data is shared with other programs or third parties. We have a Data Processing Addendum covering retention, deletion, sub-processors, and breach notification timelines, available on request at any time, before you sign up or after (most institutional customers file it with their procurement office). We do not sell or share student data and we are not ad-supported.

Where is the platform hosted, and what third-party services process student data?

The platform is hosted on Vercel (US-based, SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure). Student data lives in a Turso libSQL database (US-hosted). Email delivery runs through Resend (US-based). Billing and payments run through Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1). Those four are the named sub-processors that touch student or organizational data. No data is shared with advertising platforms, analytics brokers, or third parties outside this list. The full sub-processor inventory and what each one processes is included in the Data Processing Addendum, available on request at any time.

Do you have SOC 2 or similar security certifications?

Not yet. Standalone SOC 2 audits are a 6-figure investment that early-stage platforms typically pursue once institutional revenue justifies them. The underlying infrastructure we run on (Vercel, Turso, Stripe) is already SOC 2 Type II certified, so the hosting, database, and payment layers carry that audit posture. On our side we follow industry-standard practices: data encrypted at rest and in transit, scoped database access tokens, secrets stored in a managed vault (never in code), least-privilege production access, automated daily backups to a separate region, and an audit log of every administrative action on student data. When enough programs need a formal certification, we will pursue one.

Are the clinical cases based on real patients, and how do you handle HIPAA?

The case scenarios in Module 7 are loosely based on real clinical situations from a practicing home health PT's caseload, but every identifying detail (patient names, ages, locations, dates, medical record numbers, and specific medical history) has been modified to meet HIPAA's Safe Harbor de-identification standard. Only the clinical reasoning each case asks the student to work through is preserved. This is standard practice in DPT education and meets HIPAA's rules for de-identified educational content. On the platform itself, no PHI is stored, processed, or transmitted. Students never enter information about real patients into TheHomeHealthPro. If your DPT program runs clinical rotations where students document real patient encounters, that documentation lives in your university's clinical placement system (Trajecsys, EXXAT, or similar), not here. The platform sits in the educational technology category, not the EHR or healthcare-records category.

What is your breach notification process if student data is exposed?

If a security incident affects your students' data, we notify the program director and primary admin contacts within 72 hours of discovery, with a follow-up summary including what was exposed, what we have done to contain it, and what your team needs to do (which is usually nothing). The 72-hour timeline matches FERPA expectations and GDPR-style standards. Specifics on notification channels, timelines, and the scope of what triggers a notification are documented in the Data Processing Addendum, available on request at any time. The platform has not had a security incident affecting student data to date.

What happens if our faculty champion leaves the program mid-license?

The license belongs to your institution, not the individual, so the program keeps running. Your department chair or program director designates a new faculty owner, we transfer admin dashboard access (existing student data, progress, submissions, and discussion history stays intact), and we schedule a 30-minute orientation call with the new owner. Total downtime for students: zero. Total time for the new faculty member: about 90 minutes including the orientation call. If the program is between champions, we can run the dashboard read-only and email weekly program status to the chair until a new owner is named.

Two-part answer. First, the platform is hosted on Vercel (US Tier-1 infrastructure) with automated backups of the production database to a separate region, so the lights stay on without daily intervention. Second, the curriculum content and platform code live in a private GitHub repository with offsite backups; if the founder became unavailable, a successor engineer could maintain the platform with a 1 to 2 week ramp. Enterprise customers who require stronger contractual continuity protections can request them during contracting.

Graduating students keep alumni access to their personal dashboard, certificate, and clinical tools per the grace window (6 months today, the same window on every account while the platform is free) so they can reference the credential in a job search.

Yes. Alumni access is included on the free license too. Today the grace window is 6 months, the Core rule. Enhanced (not available yet) extends it to 12 months, and Enterprise (not available yet) to lifetime, never expires. After the grace window ends, the certificate stays accessible as a permanent credential reference, and the modules and clinical tools turn off. Discussion threads are tied to the active cohort and do not persist past the cohort's license year.

What if our discipline is not DPT? Can we license this for OT, SLP, or Nursing?
